7. Beware of so-called phishing and spoofing attempts

In this scam mesh, unfortunately, our company name is misused as a supposed sender. Specifically, this means that consumers receive fake emails on our behalf. These e-mails are often based on our layout and may be difficult to distinguish from real e-mails from us.

The scammers want to exploit the trust between us and our customers and steal sensitive data (e.g., login, customer information, billing information) or install malicious software (such as viruses or Trojans) on your computer or smartphone.

The creation of these emails and the shipping are not done by us, even if our name should be used as the sender. Unfortunately, we can not influence the delivery of these inadmissible emails.

Here are some of the features that help you recognize emails from us:
• WE do not ask you for personal information by e-mail, nor do we ask you for confirmation of personal information via a link in an e-mail.
• You will receive order confirmations and invoices from US only for orders that you have actually made.
• WE only send e-mails with file attachments if you have requested them explicitly from us (for example, manuals).
• Mails from US should have no spelling and grammatical errors, as they are always proofread before shipping.

How to properly handle spam, phishing and spoofing emails:
• We recommend that you delete suspicious emails immediately.
• Never open links and attachments in suspicious emails or disclose personal information.
• If you have accidentally clicked on links in the e-mail, immediately change your password if you have one in the affected case. We also recommend that you perform a virus scan on your computer.
• If unusual or suspicious information about orders or your customer data is included in the e-mail, please contact us immediately at the phone number or email address stated in the imprint. This will prevent you from being led to fraudulent websites via a link in the email.
